The focus of this role is the Boeing Innovation Venues (BIV) project that’s dedicated to enabling the Boeing community to collaborate, share and sharpen innovative ideas.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Senior or Lead System Engineers .This position is available in any one of the following locations:

This position will have three primary responsibilities, including leading the enterprise-wide BIV initiative, performing Innovation Coaching, and performing Platform Administration for the software tools. Additional details for each of these three areas of responsibility are as follows:
Boeing Innovation Venues Lead : Managing the enterprise-wide BIV initiative, strategic alignment across the enterprise, and related resources. This includes engaging with leadership and conducting roadshows to maintain/grow awareness and utilization across the enterprise to solve the problems that matter to Boeing and its customers.
Innovation Coaching : Engaging with and facilitating internal sponsors through the process of requesting innovative solutions from the Boeing crowd. Helping sponsors to refine their targeted problem statements and plans for discovering solutions through crowd sourced innovation. This involves helping the sponsor to: formulate and configure online content to maximize clarity and engagement; define the audience and communication plans to stimulate participation; facilitate sponsor’s engagement with audience during online collaboration period; define/setup, and facilitate the sponsor’s evaluation process to select the most promising solutions; select and recognize winners/recognition; communicate successes; and facilitate solution implementation.
Platform Administration : Managing and curating the BIV website and web-based application to ensure business needs are met by providing centralized innovation resources and enabling the collection, evaluation, and tracking of candidate solutions. This includes utilizing problem solving skills and IT capabilities, in coordination with Boeing and supplier IT personnel, to manage the software, coordinate application software upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and manage the interfaces with Boeing IT systems.
This role will gain the following:

Practical experience with analysis of business processes, business culture change
Technical experience creating innovative analysis techniques to apply to aerospace and engineering business and technology development
Leadership experience guiding large and small teams through innovation processes and events, and collecting and analyzing outcomes for continued investment
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.This position must meet export control compliance requirements. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
5+ years Engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years of experience in innovation management, decision analysis, and/or aerospace systems engineering
5+ years of experience leading a team
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Experience working independently and in a team environment to achieve desired outcome
Experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data
Experience summarizing findings and developing conclusions and recommendations from data sources
Experience with MicroSoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Experience with HTML, SSO authentication, and web-based applications hosted on a Windows server
Typical Education/Experience:Senior (Level 4):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Lead (Level 5):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience).
