Find your future with us.The Boeing AvionX Computing and Networking organization is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Senior Manager – Defense Mission Computing (DMC) to lead our Defense Mission Computing (DMC) team in Hazelwood, MO.This roles provides program/project/engineering leadership to a multi-disciplined engineering team in support of existing and future computing solutions for multiple IR&D projects, current/future aerospace and defense projects/programs.The Boeing AvionX DMC team produces computing solutions for deploying multi-level security solutions, networking and open architecture embedded processing products that are applicable to a wide variety of manned and unmanned airborne platforms across the aerospace and defense sector. The AvionX DMC team is a large multi-discipline team working together to design, procure, integrate and produce embedded avionics solutions for multiple product lines.The Boeing AvionX DMC team also produces the software architecture, software infrastructure, middleware and software support tools for teams utilizing these avionics products. The AvionX DMC team leverages its expertise to rapidly develop prototyping products, capability demonstrations and sustain/maintain production products in use or under contract for a wide variety of customers (T-7A, MQ-25, F-15 domestic/international and the F/A-18 Block 3 upgrade) and potential customers.Position Responsibilities:

Provide program leadership in key development, production, agile processes and research areas

Be responsible for developing baselines, maintaining baselines and executing to baselines for development through production/sustainment programs

Create Long Range Business Planning (LRBP) strategy for technology investment

Create/Manage capital investment for technology roadmap maturation

Partner w/programs/engineering & support staff to meet commitments

Represents DMC organization as prime point of contact for all aspects of portfolio

Communicate team’s performance with senior and executive leadership

Create SW/HW technology transition plans for use on current & future program

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the Hazelwood, MO location. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Note: The requirement is 4 days per week in the officeThis position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

10+ years of program management experience

7+ years of experience in a managerial role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Active Secret security clearance

Systems engineering experience

Hardware development experience

Software experience

Business development experience
