Quality Improvement Manager

Job Description:The Quality Improvement Manager is responsible for leading and driving forward thinking, sustainable initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of processes and systems at the NSO. This role focuses on identifying areas for improvement, developing strategies for operational excellence, coordinating across siloed divisions to identify optimal solutions for all, and implementing best practices to achieve superior performance, reduced costs while improving customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:

Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness

Identify, implement, and monitor process improvement strategies using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen

Analyze current processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend solutions to optimize workflows

Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress updates to stakeholders

Use data-driven insights to drive decision-making and strategic planning

Manage and oversee quality improvement projects from inception to completion

Drive system projects and application enhancements to build sustainable quality into processes from the beginning

Develop project plans, set objectives, identify resources, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones

Coordinate cross-functional and siloed teams to ensure alignment and collaboration on solutions that work for all

Design and deliver training programs on quality standards, process improvement techniques, and best practices

Influence and inspire a culture of continuous improvement through waste elimination, kaizen, and excellence through personal and team respect, accountability, and engagement

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies

Monitor and audit processes to ensure adherence to quality and performance standards

Collaborate with various departments to align quality improvement initiatives with organizational goals

Function as liaison between stakeholders to address concerns and facilitate effective communication

Conduct organizational readiness assessments, value realization, opportunity prioritization, resource evaluation, and execute continuous quality improvement strategies that meet business needs

QualificationsQualifications:

BS, BA, or similar degree with an emphasis in supply chain, or related field is required

Proven experience in quality management, process improvement, or operational excellence roles

Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) or similar process improvement methodologies is desired

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights

Strong project management skills with experience in leading cross-functional teams

Must be able to work independently with a strategic, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset for continuous improvement

Strong leadership and communication skills to work across the organization with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and various stakeholders

Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in using process improvement tools and software

May require extended hours or project-related work outside standard business hours

This position requires strong communication, analytical, and people skills, along with the ability to develop and execute operational strategies that drive continuous quality improvement, enhance efficiency, reduce labor costs, and ensure customer satisfaction.
