Job Title: Maintenance ElectricianJob DescriptionThe Maintenance/Electrician position is responsible for all aspects of maintaining equipment in a manufacturing facility environment. The tasks for this position include but are not limited to; electrical troubleshooting, advanced preventative maintenance, machining skills on a lathe and a mill would be a plus along with knowing PLC programming and having the ability to weld.Responsibilities
Work with production supervisors to schedule tasks so as to not interfere with normal production
Know and adhere to OSHA and NEC electrical code
Be knowledgeable of basic machine-shop processes
Coordinate work with co-workers as necessary
Communicate problems and/or concerns with supervision prior to having an impact on production
Assemble/fabricate projects as directed
Provide feedback to supervisor concerning issues pertaining to production equipment
Work extended and unscheduled hours as required in order to meet deadlines
Mandatory travel is required as needed to support the facility
Must be able to meet all essential functions of the job based on the ergonomic analysis
Support all other departments as required
Essential Skills
Possess above average verbal and written communication skills
Be hands on, self-motivated, possess a high degree of initiative and understanding of product quality
Be proficient in blueprint reading and shop mathematics
Follow directions explicitly and can thoroughly document changes required in a formal manner
Electrical troubleshooting
Advanced preventative maintenance
Machining skills on a lathe and a mill
PLC programming
Ability to weld
Electrical experience within manufacturing
Knowledge of motors and drives
Ability to work on low voltage control circuits, sensors, etc.
Ability to work with high voltage for power to machines
Mechanical abilities related to bearings, shafts, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience
