Job Description Summary:This position provides and delivers oxygen and durable medical equipment (DME) services to customers for assigned area(s).Qualifications:
Previous DME experience preferred.
To be eligible for the Driver portion of the position:
Current Driver’s License required.
Driving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect any major driving offenses (i.e; DUI, convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations, etc.).
In addition, personal vehicles used for LH business:
State law minimum liability coverage limits required.
Current CPR certification or must successfully obtain within thirty (30) days of hire.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
Assembles and delivers items related to durable medical equipment /or specialty equipment.
Accurately and efficiently works with equipment, calibration, monitoring, and documentation as required for customer records and third party reimbursement.
Operates organization provided vehicle in accordance to Logan Health policy, state and federal regulations and guidelines.
Adheres to all DOT, FDA and accreditation standards.
Exhibits knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Third Party payer rules and regulations.
Exhibits competency in the maintenance and service of products to include, but my not be limited to; oxygen concentrator checks.
Ensures the fill station is in FDA compliance.
Ensures compliance with FDA regulations regarding the trans fill and delivery of oxygen.
Maintains contact with consultant to arrange FDA training for fill station operators.
Maintains accurate records to ensure product is traceable in case of a recall
