CityServiceValcon’s experienced and long-tenured management team is committed to optimizing the business and has a track record of successful growth.About the PositionWe are looking for an experienced Propane Account Specialist to provide outstanding customer service to both external and internal customers through coordination of pick-up and delivery of petroleum products based on established company procedures for sourcing, pricing, and dispatching loads. Develop a strong teamwork approach through frequent contact with the stakeholders to create great customer experience and maintain relationships with customers, dispatchers, co-workers, vendors, and suppliers in a professional and profitable manner with honesty and integrity.You’ll report to the Manager of Wholesale Propane, focusing on these key responsibilities:
Build strong and trusted relationships with accounts and team members to provide unparalleled service and solutions to maintain a high level of client retention, service, and loyalty to CityServiceValcon.
Process orders accurately and timely through the Company’s dispatching software and according to Company’s process and procedures.
Communicate order details and confirm both verbally and electronically to appropriate carrier, team members and accounts to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
Report any delivery or quality assurance issues to stakeholders.
Maintain daily awareness of pricing, carrier (logistics), product supply, terminal availability and requirements to ensure delivery of product without delays and/or provide alternative supply/delivery option to accounts.
Collaborate with the sales team and carriers to resolve delivery issues quickly.
Provide customer feedback to the sales team with any concerns.
Collaborate with accounting to gather appropriate driver paperwork; answers questions on delivery to assist with prompt and accurate billing.
Share with the supervisor solution on process improvement opportunities.
Provide customers with information regarding Company’s programs and services.
Proactively reach out to accounts to alert terminal closures including alternative supply and pricing option.
Review daily fuel orders, supply status, sales opportunities, and tasks.
Develop solution(s) and resources to achieve three days order to delivery.
Arbitrage loads as deemed appropriate.
Provide after-hours and weekend on-call support.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent in experience.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience providing exceptional customer service.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
Proficient in various software programs including Microsoft suite products, other applications and copiers.
