Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Extended School Year (ESY) Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality instructional support during the summer session. The ESY teacher will work with students with disabilities to maintain critical academic, behavioral, and functional skills as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Key ResponsibilitiesProvide individualized instruction aligned to students’ IEP goalsFocus on maintaining essential skills and preventing regression over the summer breakImplement accommodations, modifications, and supports as outlined in IEPsCollect and document data on student progress and skill maintenanceCollaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and staffMaintain a structured, supportive classroom environmentImplement behavior intervention strategies as neededCommunicate with families regarding student progress during ESYPrepare and submit progress reports at the conclusion of the program
