High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Associates degree from an accredited College or trade school preferred

Two to three years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment

Able to work Nights 7am - 7pm / 12hr rotating schedule

Must have previous forklift experience

Must have basic computer skills

Good time management skills.

Reports to work on time and is dependable.

Essential Duties and TasksTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made, upon request, to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Employee will be certified on all powered industrial trucks.

Employee Operates Industrial trucks.

Loads and unloads trucks with raw materials and finished goods.

Inspects trailers and fills out trailer inspections.

Verify and sign off on all inbound and outbound shipping and receiving documents.

Verifies product is in good shipping condition and not damaged.

Pulls different material for production and shipping.

Keep machines stocked.

Stages and Bills product.

Understands inventory system and follows FIFO.

Maintain equipment. Inspects and cleans forklift.

Completes inspection and cleaning checklists.

Reports out any issues with forklift to supervisor and/or maintenance.

Take pictures of all outbound loads.

Scans and sends billing documents to accounting.

Manages inventory

Any other tasks assigned by supervision or management.

  • Summary This position is located in the in the APHIS, Veterinary Services, Field Operation, Logistics Center. The position involves a variety of materials handling duties, preservation, packing, repacking, storage and/or shipment and distribution of a variety of veterinary supplies, equipment and materials in support of United States agriculture. Responsibilities The duties described are for the full-performance level. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Works independently in a wide range of warehousing activities, including receiving, storing, handling, and issuing supplies, materials and equipment. Routes and expedites movement of parts, supplies and materials using mechanized, automated, and manual material moving equipment, devices, and systems. Performs assignments covered by detailed procedures, such as unloading, visually inspecting, rotating stocks in accordance with standardized operating instructions. Receives and marks incoming stock in accordance with standard operation instructions and completes forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue and labeling requirements for materials. Ensures the special requirements are met in the storing, monitoring, packaging, and shipping of temperature sensitive drug products. Arranges physical storage, assembly, packing and delivery of material, using manual and/or automated stock moving equipment. Uses hardcopy records or computer terminal equipment to determine stock locations and make selections by quantity and stock number, and assembles materials for supply orders and packs for delivery. Selects correct storage location using hardcopy or automated material identification equipment such as bar code wands, computer terminals and laser scanners. Uses hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, band cutters, and pliers to perform duties.
