We are a leader in the Trauma-Informed Care Movement, and provide training, coaching and consulting to outside organizations.Job DescriptionThe surgical technologist gathers and prepares instruments and equipment for surgical procedures; provides quality and safety to the patient guided by principles of surgical asepsis; anticipates the surgeon’s needs at the field; is flexible and works well under ever changing conditions. The surgical technologist scrubs a wide variety of different procedures and has knowledge and skill to adapt to changes in the patient’s condition.Minimum Requirements

High school Diploma or GED.

Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) OR formal training in the military as a surgical corpsman or medic OR a minimum of three (3) years demonstrated scrub experience performing a wide variety of procedures.

Current BLS and must remain current to retain position

Ability to stand for the majority of the work time; sometimes wearing a 10 lb. x-ray apron for several hours at a time; lifting 50lbs., pushing/pulling 125lbs.,frequent lifting 1-25lb. sterile trays during the course of the day.

Good communication and written skills.

Ability to handle stressful situations and changing conditions; flexibility to adapt to scheduling changes and changes in patient condition. Good time management skills and ability to be self-directed.
