Description We are offering a PART-TIME contract employment opportunity for an IT Administrative Assistant in the education industry based in KANSAS CITY, Missouri. The role involves managing various administrative duties in a school district setting. Monday-Friday, 4 hours per day.Responsibilities: Oversee the management and distribution of district-issued mobile devices for staff and students. Assist with the creation, distribution, and tracking of ID badges for new staff and students. Support the Technology Director in managing student and staff devices, including processing repair requests and managing warranty claims. Maintain up-to-date records for each individual, ensuring that badges are deactivated when someone leaves the district. Assist in the inventory and asset tracking of hardware and software, including recording serial numbers, assigning devices to specific users, and tracking the location and status of each asset. Handle purchase orders, obtaining quotes from vendors, and tracking shipment status to ensure timely procurement of necessary technology equipment and services. Manage software licensing, tracking expiration dates, and ensuring timely renewals. Assist in setting up staff email accounts and managing permissions for new hires to facilitate smooth onboarding and access to essential tools. Coordinate district-wide announcements related to technology updates, system outages, or security protocols. Assist in maintaining compliance with student data privacy laws and cybersecurity protocols, including maintaining documentation and submitting necessary reports. Assist in gathering documentation and preparing reports needed for technology funding programs. Utilize skills in Customer Service, Data Entry, Email Correspondence, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Vendor Relationship Management, and Compliance Functions to perform duties effectivelyRequirements Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Demonstrated experience in customer service Ability to manage vendor relationships effectively Knowledge of compliance functions within the education sector Proven ability to perform data entry tasks with high level of accuracy Excellent email correspondence skills, with a focus on clarity and professionalism Experience in an educational environment is advantageous Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively Strong problem-solving skills and detail-oriented Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of discretion and confidentiality due to nature of the role.
