Randstad Technologies is seeking a Senior Scrum Master for an opportunity with a financial services institution in Kansas City, MO. The Scrum Master will be paired with an internal Coach, who will be the lead.
Responsibilities
Guide the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values
Ensure alignment with company development, security and other technology policies
Establish and break down a sprint schedule into measurable activities, ensuring dependencies are met
Help the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities, sustainability, and scope
Help balance the prioritization of technical debt against new feature innovation and software delivery
Facilitate team meetings, including the Daily Stand-up, Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, Iteration Retrospective, and other Agile ceremonies
Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
Produce reports on team performance
Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
Help the team improve and take responsibility for their actions; facilitate the team retrospective
Guide the team in establishing normalized estimates and helps the team understand how to estimate Features and Capabilities
Coordinate activities with internal staff, as well as outsourced or offshore staff to ensure projects/products are progressing within budget and on schedule
Support the team effort in detecting, resolving and preventing defects and bugs and producing quality code
Coordinate addressing external and internal requests to the development team
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related Technology field.
5+ years managing application development projects including medium to large scale deployments
1-year minimum experience managing with backlog tools, specifically JIRA
Experience coordinating or serving on cross-functional teams or environments
Ability to interact effectively with various levels of the organization
Ability to coach members of the team, under the direction of an internal Agile coach
Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
Experience managing, coordinating, and escalating both internal and external dependencies for a team
Preferred PMP, CSM, and/or SAFe certification
