Place material in staging area, maintain records of materials received, and move materials throughout the shop as necessary. Prepare material for return shipment. Perform duties required to drive any non-CDL truck with a gross combined weight rating of 26,000 pounds or less to transport materials to and from specified locations, to order repair parts and perform minor maintenance repairs on trucks. Key Responsibilities:
Operate company truck to pick up and deliver customer parts applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in the area.
Plan travel routes for shortest distance to destinations.
Maintaining an accurate truck log.
Responsible for paying toll fees and keeping receipts for reimbursement from the company.
Keeping track of the vehicles overall weight to ensure compliance with DOT guidelines.
Inspect all trucks daily, complete inspection checklist, schedule and record routine maintenance of trucks.
Load and unload trucks using a forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
Check in parts by verifying weight and count per established company procedures, and verify receipt against customer paperwork.
Inspect incoming work for proper packaging and/or damage and document potential issues.
Enter incoming shipment information on appropriate forms, accept purchased goods and forward to appropriate personnel.
Assist other personnel in locating parts.
Process incoming and outgoing UPS shipments.
Prepare pallets and containers for shipment.
Check out parts by verifying weight and count per established company procedures, entering required information into computer, and assembling appropriate documentation such as Packing Lists, Bills of Lading and Freight Forms.
Contact freight lines to arrange pickup of shipments.
Respond to customer service requests for shipping information, as well as, customer inquiries concerning parts.
Assist Order Writing Department in receiving goods by re-weighing and verifying container counts and types if necessary
Maintain a neat and safe working environment.
QualificationsQualifications:
Requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Three months or more in a similar or related position.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen including THC.
License(s)/Certification(s) Required:
Must be able to obtain a forklift certification.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record in compliance with Paulo’s Fleet Safety Policy.
