This position reports into the solutions organization. The goal of this position is to enable project managers, operations managers and supervisors to focus on project execution, while ensuring implementation of our core business processes. This role will act as the liaison between Siemens and building departments of various municipalities in order to ensure projects and permits move smoothly through all project milestones.Recurring tasks:

Electronically submit permitting documents to building departments

Ensure proper documentation is submitted

Produce, validate, and update requirements from permitting departments (i.e. COI, NOC)

Track permits

Anticipate expiration dates

Facilitate permit comments to appropriate PM/OM

Review status of permit

Verify permits get closed in a timely manner

Renew permits as necessary

Work with PM/OM as necessary

RequirementsMust have completed a minimum of ONE summer internship within a Siemens branch.Strong contracts background is an absolute must have as you will need to have a full understanding of this capacity, maneuver through a SharePoint site, and proficient with Microsoft Suite together with ability to follow up and track on permit status within various jurisdictions and/or municipalities.Must be used to working independently, be self-motivated and is looking for a long-term career.Excellent MS Excel, Word skills are a must.

Education / Majors: Current sophomore or junior undergraduates pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university and majoring in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial/System Engineering, Industrial Distribution, HVAC, Business/Management/Marketing/Sales with strong technical/engineering aptitude (preferred)

Minimum GPA: 3.0 (preferred)

Work Authorization: Permanent work authorization in the U.S. without sponsorship is required

Prior internship or co-op experience

Demonstrated leadership potential

Strong analytical, writing, presentation and critical-thinking skills

Industry knowledge and/or interest
