Improve the reliability of mission critical solutions, applications, and platforms at large-scale or critical enterprise level through software development. Provide continuous improvement identification and implementation to reduce manual processes, improve consistency, stability, performance, and security (with emphasis on toil reduction). Identify and implement platform enhancements to strengthen use of metrics, logs, traces, change analysis, dependency mapping and correlation capabilities. Propose product design features to support scalability, usability, and better performance. Lead efforts to troubleshoot and/or debug issues in any environment at any stage of the software delivery lifecycle. Fully automate every state of application delivery, including engineering of test automation strategies and methods to reduce manual labor and increase efficiency, performance and availability of platforms, applications, and tools. Mentor and coach other team members.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.Five years of software design, deployment and maintenance experience to include:
Designing, coding, testing, and software delivery using Python, and Java.
Public cloud engineering for migration and native build patterns using Azure IaaS and PaaS services: Azure DevOps, Monitor, Storage, Key Vault, Azure Kubernetes Service, DNS, Networking, Redis Cache, Application Gateway, App Services, Data Factory, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, Cosmos DB, and SQL Server.
Containerization and orchestration technologies: Docker, and Kubernetes.
CI/CD pipelines.
Automating build, provisioning, and configuration management of applications using Terraform Enterprise, Ansible, Chef, and Helm Charts.
PowerShell, Python, and groovy scripting.
Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, Kiali, Azure Application Insight and Azure Log Analytics.
Troubleshooting large-scale distributed software applications.
