Summary of Job DutiesThis position is responsible to meet the goals and objectives of the organization by testing materials and finished products (paper bags and pouches) across multiple stages of production to ensure they conform to all applicable regulations, customer specifications, internal specifications, laws and company standards.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Follow all applicable instructions relative to food safety and the SQF Food Safety Management System, including Employee GMPs.
Report food safety problems to personnel with the authority to initiate actions.
Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF System
Responsible for in-process inspection and test verification for Quality and Food Packaging Safety requirements, this includes testing on the production floor and in the lab.
Must be comfortable working with quality testing equipment at the site.
Responsible for creation and/or approval of Certificates of Analysis, Certificates of Conformance, etc.
Responsible for documentation, sampling and quarantining of non-conforming material. Maintains other sample requirements as defined.
Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized.
Assist the Quality Manager and with department tasks to support our QMS/FSMS and continual improvement of facility processes and procedures.
Communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the QMS/FSMS System.
Back-up for Quality manager. This is accomplished through training in respective areas and support of the Plant Quality Manager.
Qualifications | Education | Experience
Associates degree preferred with a concentration in mathematics.
Two (2) to five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior quality experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment
Prior experience working in an SQF Manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized.
Solid working knowledge of quality processes and related manufacturing.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams, and Outlook
Wage:
Starting at $23+/hour based prior relevant experience
Hours:
6am – 2pm or 7am – 3pm | Monday – Friday
Must be able to flex hours to the overnight schedule on rare occasions when tech support is deemed necessary. At supervisor discretion.
