Second Cook $27.32/hour , First Cook $24.32
Southern Foodservice Management is seeking qualified Second Cooks for dining units at the Fort Leavenworth Correctional Facility in Leavenworth, Kansas 66048.
Full-time and Part-time positions will be available based on fluctuating scheduling needs with premium wage rates and competitive voluntary benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.)
There are two (2) shifts:
Shift One - Early morning, day
Shift Two - Afternoon / evening
Seven (7) Days a week operation:
40hours a week – Monday through Friday
-or-
40 hours a week – with a mixture of day/hours Monday through Sunday
General Responsibilities (During preparation, service and after the meal):
Ability to instruct, teach, and coach other cooks on cooking processes and procedures
Preparation of food products according to the daily menu’s recipes
Tasted for good quality / texture, not to be over salted and properly cooked
Preparation of required meal items according to the daily menu or other required menu items
Check temperatures for required ranges ensuring they are properly cooked
Set out products for the meal service
Replenishing food items as required during service
Break down service areas at end of meal period
Serv-Safe Certified or willing to take course (company will pay for course)
Knowledge of the Army’s AFMIS system is a plus
