We are looking for a full-time Crew leader/ field technician who preferably has a class A or B CDL and tractor and/or skid steer driving experience. We want someone who preferable already has, or at a minimum wants to learn the skills necessary to become a reliable erosion control field crew leader. This position has the potential for advancement in the company that is only limited by your desire to work hard, learn, and perform.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors and with their hands to help improve and protect the environment by installing and maintaining erosion control devices such as silt fence, erosion control blanket, wattles, mulch bags, etc. Our company is a FMCSA registered truck driver training facility and will provide training to interested individuals who qualify for the program.
RESPONSIBILITES (some training provided)
Transport equipment and workers to site, then work with tractors, skid steers, and hand tools (shovels, staple guns, utility knives, etc.) to install and maintain erosion control devices at construction sites. Lead a crew to do the same.
Ensure a safe, efficient workplace by always wearing appropriate PPE
Present a professional, and positive, attitude interacting with customers and co-workers
Ensures all site work is done professionally and to required specifications for site
Ensures job equipment & materials are well kept, maintained, and utilized without waste
Additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to physically work outdoors in all types of weather
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to work weekends (occasionally) and extended hours as needed
Previous construction experience preferred but not required
Current and valid driver’s license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee is regularly required to: Have full range mobility in upper and lower body; Be able to work by walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and lifting (up to 50 lbs.). Good vision requirements include distance vision, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a FMCSA drug screening test.
COMPENSATION:
Competitive salary 22-25/hr. and up with possible annual bonus
