Responsible for fleet maintenance and repair work a variety of passenger vehicles, trucks, tractors, skid steers, trailers, etc. Duties include working full time to do primarily preventative vehicle maintenance such as oil changes and lubrication on various tractors, small farm equipment and trucks. Other duties include required repairs to equipment including welding. Self-start and self-motivation a must, experience required. Some operation of skid loaders, tractors and forklifts required. Must maintain a positive attitude interacting with customers and co-workers.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but individual must be able to work with others successfully.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Examines vehicles.
Identifies necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Estimates cost of repairs, and shops for competitive prices.
Performs vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Documents services performed as necessary.
Performs services efficiently and according to appropriate specifications.
Follows manufacturer service guidelines.
Requests necessary parts.
Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
Complies with Company policies and procedures
Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
Other duties as assigned
Must be able to physically work to fix and maintain a variety of vehicles and equipment.
Strong attention to detail
Be able to work later in PM and evenings (occasionally) and extended hours as needed to get critical equipment back into service.
Current and valid driver’s license
Have reliable transportation to work every day.
Strong work ethic with good attendance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee is regularly required to: Have full range mobility in upper and lower body; Be able to work by walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching. Good vision requirements include distance vision, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
COMPENSATION:
This job is 40 hrs. per week with a pay range of 25 to 30 dollars/hr. depending on experience, abilities, and performance with benefits.
