Summary
Hands-on and detail-oriented Working Lead to oversee the daily operations of the Shipping & Receiving Department.
Oversee incoming receipts and outgoing shipping activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Issue written and oral instructions.
Verify the product received against the packing slip, MTM Purchase Order, or Work Order, post receipt into the ERP database.
Assess stock for damage or deterioration.
Review daily reports to create shippers in the ERP database.
Review shipping documentation, and obtain necessary signatures or QA approvals.
Pull product from stock to package for shipment to customer.
Assemble wooden or cardboard containers, or select preassembled containers.
Attach the covers/lids on wooden crates and bind containers with metal banding.
Utilize customer portals to prepare ASNs (Advance Shipping Notices), and print out labels and shipping documents generated.
Affix shipping labels on packed cartons and insert shipping documentation.
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Operate a forklift truck or use a hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving to storage or work
area.
Prepare product for shipment or storage according to packaging instructions and to ensure product quality.
Contact transportation companies for pick-up.
Maintain log/schedule for MTM driver.
Follow the Quality Management System procedures and instructions.
Support the Quality Management System to assure compliance with quality, industrial, and government standards and regulations.
Comply with MTM's safety rules and regulations and wear appropriate safety equipment when entering manufacturing
departments.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly working environment.

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or
an equivalent combination of education and experience.
