***This position is for an experienced leasing consultant that is willing to work closely with

management on a brand new 240-unit Class-A luxury apartment community in Lee's Summit,

Missouri. This position is for someone that is eager to take control of a large lease-up project. Lease-

up of 20+ units a month will be required, and commissions will be generous.***

Job Summary

The Leasing Consultant will report directly to the Senior Property Manager and will be responsible for

leasing up the community with qualified, quality Residents that fall within strict guidelines set for the

community.

Primary responsibilities include: leasing up a new community, building Resident relations and

customer service to manage resident retention and satisfaction, maintain aesthetics and manage

expenses; maintain in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations governing fair

housing and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Works to achieve maximum lease-up performance based upon annual goals to increase

revenue and other income.

 Train, coach and counsel other staff members when the need arises.

 Plan lease renewal management and Resident retention systems.

 Ensures the resolution of resident issues and complaints in cooperation with the staff.Â

 Executes, and attends social and other community events for Residents.Â

 Ensures that all applicable deposits, rents, and other fees and ancillary revenues are collected

and deposited.Â

 Maintain a winning attitude and property appearance that meets or exceeds standards.

 Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the community.Â

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of fair housing laws, rules and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels

 Sales management and marketing knowledge, skills and abilities to sell products and services

to new and existing customers

 Skill and ability to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing

 Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

 Knowledge and skills to manage projects, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines

 Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Gmail and other common business applications

 Willingness and ability to learn and maintain property management software and other office

technologies

 Ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain appropriate discretion

Physical and Environmental Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee

to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and

interface with multiple customers daily. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use

stairs and operate apartment features while showing applicants the community.

 This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 30

pounds.

 This job operates in a professional office environment with occasional exposure to outside

weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers,

phones, scanners, management software and other office technologies.

Required Qualifications

 High school diploma/GED

 3-5+ years of experience in property management, leasing, and/or hospitality or related

experience in customer service or sales is required

 Valid driver's license accompanied with reliable transportation

 Must have a bank checking account and smart phone (required for payroll purposes)

 Pass a background check. Felons, criminals or offenders need not apply.

 Positive past work experience
