Drywall Apprentice-Helper
Summary
PatchMaster Kansas City is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. We are looking to expand our workforce, as our company is growing rapidly. We service the entire Kansas City Metro area. Patchmaster is a national franchise, and we are locally owned and operated.
We are seeking 1-2 support team members to help our skilled technicians on their projects. These individuals must be able to pass a background check, have their own reliable transportation, be willing to learn, be capable of showing up on time, and have an interest in growing their career. Candidates must be able to work clean, be personable and presentable, and can follow specific processes. Additionally, we ask that any candidates be willing and capable of painting.
This role is ideal for individuals who are looking to start a career in the construction and drywall installation/finishing industry. We are willing to train the ideal candidates in the art of drywall installation, finishing, and repair plus painting. We are offering opportunities to grow into a skilled tradesperson/specialized drywall finisher.
compensation: $18 - $22 per hour

Qualifications and Education Requirements
o High school diploma or equivalent
o Ability to pass a background check.
o Authorized to work in the United States
o Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to job sites
o Clean driving record
Preferred Skills
o Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and have great customer service skills.
o Good hand-eye coordination, strong attention to detail, ability to maintain a clean workspace and a positive attitude.
o Basic understanding of construction tools and materials (preferred but not required)
o Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity; ability to lift up to 75lbs; ability to stand for lengthy periods of time.
o Strong work ethic
o Willingness to learn and take directions from experienced technicians.
o Time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule as directed.
