We are seeking an experienced Gutter Installer to become a part of our team! You will assist with the installation of aluminum guttering on residential homes and lead a small crew.
Responsibilities: The responsibility of the installer is to maintain a required volume of quality installations with unparalleled professionalism and courteousness toward customers and co-workers.
Job Duties: In carrying out the above responsibilities, the installer’s duties include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
Safety
- Think safety first! Foresee and take precautions in all unsafe situations. Use no unsafe practices on job site to jeopardize safety, health or life of any individual.
- Proper work speed and procedures that prevent damage to any customer, company or personal property.
- Drive carefully, safely and courteously. Maintain an insurable driving record.
Customer Relations
- Keep a good attitude toward customers, regardless of difficulty of job or customer.
- Develop good communication skills. Talk with a customer before beginning the job and after the work is complete.
- When a job cannot be installed as contracted, problems arise or a customer wants to add/change something – determine the customers needs, get office approval/cost and advise Project Manager of said changes.
- Communicate with management any problems as well as any praises.
Quality Control
- Check job material in warehouse prior to going to job to avoid multiple trips & deliveries.
- Measure, make and install products according to the drawing using Jet Stream Guttering procedures.
- Be a problem solver. If you see a need, fill a need.
- Work smarter, not harder and stay organized.
- Be careful not to have excess waste.
- Maintain a clean vehicle and job site, checking completed job to ensure the customers home is left in great condition.
Installation
- Maintain installation schedule and/or minimum dollar requirement.
- Install product according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) by contract specifications.
- Learn new procedures as developed.
- Recommend new procedures, changes in existing methods or material to improve installation operations.
Machines & Equipment
- Properly use and maintain company vehicles, gutter machines and tools.
- Notify management of any loss, breakage or problems with vehicles, machine or tools immediately and prior to malfunctions.
- Acquire and maintain personal tools.
Paperwork
- Responsible for all company paperwork required by Jet Stream Guttering.
Overall Adherence to Company Policy
- Observance of all company policies.
- Open communication with management.
- Be on time to work.
- Maintain a good attitude towards customers and co-workers.
- Attend all company meetings and installer meetings as required.
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance. Company logoed apparel is to be worn on all job sites at all times.
