We’re looking for a dependable, multi-skilled Home Remodeling Crewman to join the SS Remodels team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently, managing their own schedule, and taking ownership of their work while being part of a professional, supportive team.
As our company grows, this position serves as a key on-site role—bridging field operations with management. You’ll handle day-to-day remodeling tasks, uphold quality standards, and help ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 2–3 years of residential remodeling or general construction experience
Strong carpentry background (framing, trim, doors, windows, etc.)
Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
Competence in drywall hanging, finishing, and repair
Basic tile installation and floor prep experience
Ability to read measurements, layouts, and simple drawings
Familiarity with power tools and safe jobsite practices
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Professional communication and respect for clients’ homes
Must have own basic tools; specialty tools provided as needed
Responsibilities
Coordinate directly with the Project Manager on assigned scopes
Perform hands-on remodeling tasks across multiple trades
Oversee day-to-day field operations and maintain jobsite organization
Complete punch-list and finish work to company standards
Communicate clearly with management, clients, and subcontractors
Take initiative to identify and resolve issues without supervision
Represent SS Remodels professionally in all client interactions
Compensation & Work Structure
Type: 1099 Subcontractor (Independent Role)
Schedule: Manage your own time — typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility based on project needs (No Sundays)
Pay: Based on experience — daily rate, weekly rate, or per-contract basis
Insurance: All insurance needs are covered by SS Remodels
Support: We provide project management software, digital tools, and coaching to help you succeed and stay organized
