Job Title: Groundskeeper/General MaintenanceDepartment: MaintenanceReports to: Director of MaintenanceClassification:Classified / Non-exemptSummaryThis individual will maintain safe and attractive grounds for all district properties.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Mow and detail all district grounds, including athletic fields.
Care for trees, shrubs, and flowers on district grounds; including watering, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, caring for beds, and controlling weeds.
Plant shrubs and vegetation.
Assist with the preparation and clean up of athletic fields and facilities for games, including marking fields.
Water grounds and apply fertilizer as needed.
Collect and dispose of leaves, dirt, rubbish, and refuse from district facilities.
Assist with the inspection, repair, and installation of sprinkler systems.
Help keep vehicle, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition.
Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures.
Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifts, climbing, etc.
Inspect and adjust tools and equipment for safety and efficiency. Perform preventative maintenance as needed.
Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
Hours may change during mowing season.
Assist with snow removal during the winter months.
Perform general maintenance tasks in the district during off seasons.
Other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Valid Missouri driver license with no restrictions
High School Diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
