The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a passion for boating, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Experience with Mercury, Evinrude, Johnson outboards as well as Mercruiser, OMC and Volvo-Penta Sterndrives is preferred. Certification is a plus. Willingness to work hard in a fast-paced environment is necessary as is attention to detail.
Hours 9-5 M-F.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair outboard and inboard engines
Perform routine maintenance and winterization services
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and steering systems
Install marine electronics and accessories
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
Certification: Mercury and Evinrude certification preferred
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a marine mechanic
Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical skills
Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems
Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift 50 lbs
