Description:Chemia is a fragrance company that makes hundreds of different fragrances from personalized to smells that go into other products. They are looking to hire a lab technician to join their team on a 6 months contract (could go longer, could be shorter, could lead to perm opportunity if a position is open which is likely). This person would work alongside chemical operators and fragrance scientist to test in coming product, in process, and final samples before being sent out to customer. They will be working 90% of the time in the lab and the other 10% would be documenting or pulling things from the floor, but primary job is in the lab. The type of testing they will do and learn to do: physical property testing, specific gravity testing, ph. Eventually could be trained on GCMS. This person will actually be compounding/creating the individual fragrance, restock the lab, refill the lab. Since they are working with a variety of scents, they cannot have any allergy to fragrances. This person will eventually be responsible for compounding and testing 12-20 formulas per day. So having a background where people are used to being on their feet and fast paced would be beneficial. This person will be working independently, but will be expected to help out and communicate with peers to ensure all product is being sent out on time.Skills:

Bachelor or associate degree in science related field. Bachelor degree is not necessary but preferred.
Experience with lab testing preferred (in school is fine) and demonstrate on resume
Experience in restaurant, fast food, customer service, or anything fast and multi tasking is present is preferred
