These positions perform journey level mechanical work and repairs in support of the DNRC\'s divisions and field staff across Montana. Positions are located throughout the state at the Equipment Development and Communications Center (EDCC), Northwestern Land Office (NWLO), Southwestern Land Office (SWLO), Central Land Office (CLO) and the Southern Land Office (SLO) and the Seedling Nursery. Essential Functions (Major Duties or Responsibilities):These job functions are the essential duties of the position and are not all-inclusive of all the duties that may be assigned to the incumbent. //Mechanical Repair and Maintenance: Perform journeyman level mechanical repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, mechanized equipment, and other specialized equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and alterations of vehicles and equipment by examining vehicles and equipment, utilizing service reports, information from users and other mechanic/machinists to determine necessary design adjustments, fabrication, repairs or maintenance.
