Job Category:Manufacturing/OperationsJob Family:FormulationsJob Description:As the Formulations and Material Handling Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading both teams. You will be responsible for finished goods, raw bulk/ingredients, dry and assists with establishing and implementing distribution standards. You'll focus on customer service levels in areas of shortages of product. You will ensure compliance with company and governmental standards and regulations of safety, sanitation, and housekeeping within all blending/warehousing/material handling/distribution areas.While leading the operation of the Formulations Department, you'll be responsible for formulations and blending, warehouse and distribution with responsibility for efficient utilization and coordination of raw materials for the production labor. You will establish formulation standards in conjunction with Product Innovation and assure standards are met. You'll be responsible for final coordination of daily production scheduling, provide technical expertise and training for operations, coordinate experimentation and interface with Product Innovation for product development.What youll do:

Develop and control formulations that will be most efficient in terms of cost and utilization; control the cheese and ingredient usage through the blending system and monitor the on line quality of blends.

Manage the daily process cheese accountability function, supervise and train staff to assure accuracy of information in and out on the daily process accountabilities.

Assist with maintain the rotating salvage, bulk cheese and ingredient inventories. Implement systems to minimize all inventories.

Act as liaison between corporate Product Innovation and plant for experiments and product development.

Provide technical assistance in terms of data, training and expertise for other departments with special emphasis on SPC, TQA, HACCP, MRP, etc.

Lead many of the functions of the Standard Cost System.

Lead team efforts in meeting or exceeding goals in productivity, raw material usage, safety, customer complaints and service.

What you need to succeed:

Bachelors degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, or related field

3 years of experience working in formulations, food science, or related field

Ability to travel up to 10%
