Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate Electronics & Electrical Engineering Design Engineer to join our Phantom Works Weapons Mission Systems (MS) Capability team in Saint Charles, MO ., to design and integrate avionics/antennas into future advanced weapon systems. The mission avionics will perform the guidance, navigation, and control functions of the vehicle, as well as handle all communication and data storage for all avionics components. The avionics will collaborate with the host aircraft and components including: antennas, IMU, Seeker/Sensor, GPS Receiver, Control Actuation System, Power Controller, Datalink Radio, and more.Phantom Works programs develop highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. Assist with the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements
Develop or modify basic hardware and software designs based on defined requirements
Perform system tests to verify operational and functional requirements
Assist in monitoring suppliers' performance to ensure compliance with requirements
Support resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies
Research basic technologies for potential application to company business needs
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Experience in antenna design
Experience in systems engineering performing system architecture development, systems integration, and/or hardware/software design and analysis
Experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
Experience in RF (Radio Frequency) theory and application
Willing and able to travel domestically 10% of the time
Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
