Working closely with partners across the metro, SupplySTL is engaging both anchor institutions and corporations and small and mid-sized businesses locally to eliminate barriers to access and create connections that lead to vendor/customer relationships and a robust local procurement ecosystem.Within the supply side of this initiative, there is a focus on helping entrepreneurs to increase their business capacity, expand their access to capital, and access the networks and resources that can support thriving businesses. There is a targeted focus on launching, accelerating, growing, and scaling local companies led by BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) and women entrepreneurs.Using secure data and networks, partnerships and passion, these innovations and solutions will support entrepreneurs and small business owners in realizing their greatest potential for the benefit of their families, communities, and the St. Louis metro.Position Summary:The Community Resource Navigator manages a portfolio of client companies, connecting them to business support resources such as capacity building programs and initiatives, executive coaching, purchasing and procurement networks, and capital resources. The Community Resource Navigator will work to support the creation, launch, acceleration, and scaling of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) and women small business owners and entrepreneurs.Essential Functions:

Building and maintaining relationships with the other small business and entrepreneur support organizations in the St. Louis MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area)

- Knowledge of the resources available to small businesses within the local, state, and federal small business ecosystem

- Connecting small businesses to resources organizations and opportunities that support growing businesses

- Collaborate with the internal Greater St. Louis, Inc. teams to support the success of SupplySTL and the businesses the initiative supports

- Assist with event management, including message and design of program materials, development of external; small business ecosystem communications, and design of and participation in small business ecosystem meetings.

- Outreach to businesses seeking business support services such as capacity building resources, technical assistance, mentorship, funding/capital, and other support services as needed```{=html}```

- Assist with coordination, facilitation, and follow-ups to ensure business owners are connected with the appropriate business support services.

- Develop presentations and other communications for program/department - related events and activities

- Build and manag a robust portfolio of client business through the business navigation process and external business ecosystem

- Track the success of businesses in the Navigator program

- Coordinate entrepreneurial ecosystem building, development, and engagement events```{=html}```

- Assist in maintaining internal Salesforce or other databases used to track and support businesses

- Proved weekly reports on services and activities

- Complete required participant case records/documentation

- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by Greater St. Louis, Inc.Essential Characteristics:

Bachelors degree preferred

- 3-5 years of experience working in or with small- or medium-sized businesses

- Understanding and knowledge of entrepreneurial ecosystems

- Strong understanding and knowledge of project management

- Demonstrated success in driving projects to completion

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteTravel and ScheduleCould require travel based on project demands. Must be available during standard business hours. May be required to work more than 8 hours during a workday as project deadlines demand. Must be available to work occasional off-hours. Events and meetings will involve some early mornings, evenings and weekends.
