JOB DESCRIPTION

Under supervision, performs cleaning work in treatment plants; maintains treatment plant grounds; drives a vehicle to run errands; and performs related work as required.Essential Functions:

Sweeps, cleans, dusts and maintains floors; cleans rest rooms and fixtures; empties waste baskets; washes windows and walls; cleans mechanical equipment, pumps, compressors, electrical equipment, plant units, and performs routine plant cleaning work; maintains custodial supplies; waters grass and maintains plant grounds; operates mowing and cleaning equipment; sweeps walks and other surfaces; removes snow and ice; digs ditches and trenches; loads and unloads chemicals, equipment and supplies; runs errands as required.Additional Responsibilities:

May occasionally do the work of an Apprentice Plant Operator; may occasionally assist plant trades persons; performs related work as required or as delegated by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS

Training and Experience:High school diploma/GED

One year of experience in janitorial work.Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to drive a vehicle; working knowledge of safe work practices; ability to select and apply proper cleaning materials and equipment; ability to perform comparatively heavy manual work; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructionsSPECIAL REQUIREMENT:

Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which employee resides.Pursuant to MSD's "Substance Abuse Policy and Procedures," this position has been designated as safety sensitive and candidate must pass a Non-D.O.T. Drug Test for this position. Employees occupying this position are not subject to Federal (D.O.T.) Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations.Employees of MSD must have a meets expectations.ABOUT US
