Position Title: Crating
Wage: $19.30/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm, possible overtime on Friday/Saturday
QPS Employment Group is hiring for a Crating role for a company in Marshfield, MO. This is an associate to hire opportunity.
Crating Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Safely produce crates for finished solid and veneered wood products using advanced machinery, hand tools, and sanding equipment
- Production needs include but are not limited to customer orders, inventory, product samples, and product development prototypes
- Ensure the safety and well-being of self as well as all associates within the facility
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work
- Oversee the operation of the machine ensuring safe work practices as well as keep the work area a safe work environment for all that work or enter the area
Crating Requirements:
- 1-3 years of past manufacturing experience
- Some knowledge of wood products and finishing
- Must be able to read Safety Data Sheets (SDS) sheet
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Dependable, punctual, good attendance
- Hours of service that would average at least 40-50 hours of service per week
- Communication skills
- Ability to interact well with others in the common pursuit of working safely while producing material that meets all quality attributes and standards
- Frequently stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Frequently lift and move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift and move up to 50lbs
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
