Job Description:
Immediate opening for Fire Extinguisher Service Technician.
1. This job is a full-time position. We will train, but experience is helpful. This job involves driving a company vehicle to service our customer accounts. This job requires a self motivated mechanically minded person who is ready to work hard and learn new skills. This job requires a valid Missouri license, clean driving record, criminal background check, and drug screening. A successful candidate will have the ability to communicate with co-workers & customers, write sales tickets, do simple math, take measurements, climb ladders, lift heavy things, and walk up and down stairs. This job sometimes requires a lot of walking and heavy lifting. We want someone who has a clean personal appearance, good work ethic, and is willing to work hard and get the job done right!
2. The duties of this job primarily included servicing fire extinguishers; servicing fire suppression systems; testing, repairing and installing exit and emergency lights, and testing fire alarms.
3. This job requires a clean driving record and a clean criminal background. This will be checked, don't bother applying if you can't meet this requirement.
4. A pre-employment drug & alcohol screening will also be performed. We also perform random drug and alcohol screenings.
5. This job requires an employee who is in good physical health. There can be heavy lifting and there is a lot of walking.
6. Must be able to work on ladders.
7. Must have a clean appearance. Good personal hygiene and clean clothes are required every day. We provide company shirts and hats. The employee is responsible for the rest of their clothing and keeping them clean.
8. Must keep equipment and vehicles as clean as possible and notify management about any issues and when they need servicing.
9. Strong mechanical ability required.
10. Must be able to communicate with coworkers and customers verbally and in writing.
11. Must be able to organize and manage time wisely.
12. Must be able to use maps and GPS to find customer locations in remote areas.
13. This job requires at least a high school diploma. Any technical training will be beneficial.
14. Must provide your own cell phone for calling customers, office, and other employees.
