Position Title: Procurement Specialist
Wage: $17/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Procurement Specialist for a company in Springfield, MO. This is a contract to hire role.
Procurement Specialist Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and process outbound shipments, create and maintain BOLs and other documents
- Prepare and make expedited shipments in accordance with customer requirements, ensure ASNs are correct
- Work with 3rd party logistics providers to initiate and track the logistics of planned material movements
- Respond to Proof of Deliveries inquiries with respect to past shipments, help load shipments
- Provide and maintain all shipping records, monitor customer portal, verify incoming materials, inventory
- Manage all inventory, office supplies, and materials, conduct contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers
- Maintain visitor log, answer incoming phone calls, help suppliers and vendors, provide project quotes
Procurement Specialist Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED
- 2 years of data entry experience
- 2 years of purchasing experience
- Procurement including inventory, logistics, computers, numbers, shipping/receiving, BOLs, and invoicing
- Must have previous forklift experience
- Good attention to detail
- Typing and 10-key proficiency
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
- Good attention to detail and good with reading numbers
- Ability to sit on forklift and stand on concrete floors for 8 hours a day
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good organization and time management
