Position Title: Contract Tutor (Grades 1 & 3)
Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM - We can be flexible with schedule. Saturday Mornings may be of interest.
Location: Ladue Missouri
Overview:
We are seeking a patient and enthusiastic part-time tutor to provide academic support for two young learners, a first-grade and a third-grade student. The tutor will work with the students Monday to Thursday, focusing on helping them with their school assignments and reinforcing foundational concepts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with younger children and is passionate about early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized tutoring tailored to a first-grade and third-grade student’s learning needs.
Assist students with homework, reading, basic math, and other age-appropriate subjects.
Reinforce classroom learning by using fun and engaging teaching methods.
Foster a positive, encouraging, and supportive learning environment.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding each child’s progress and areas of improvement.
Adapt teaching strategies to cater to each student's developmental stage and learning style.
Qualifications:
Experience working with elementary school students, particularly in grades 1 and 3.
Strong proficiency in foundational subjects, including reading, writing, and basic math.
Patient, engaging, and passionate about working with young children.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Reliable and punctual.
