WWT is currently seeking a Network Engineer to join the IT Network Services team. As a valued member of the team, the engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining WWT's growing network infrastructure to meet business objectives. The position is located at WWT's headquarters in Saint Louis, MO.

Job Responsibilities:

Network Engineer responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, configure, install, test, and maintain mostly Cisco networking equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers and access points
  • Configure and maintain static and dynamic routing protocols including BGP and EIGRP for internal and external connectivity
  • Deploy and maintain wireless network by performing surveys to properly locate, install and balance the access points for optimal coverage including RF tuning
  • Configure and troubleshoot LAN protocols such as VPCs, LACP and STP
  • Create and maintain documentation such as as-builts, network layouts, knowledge-based articles and other related documentation
  • Generate network hardware and software list and follow the processes to procure the items
  • Configure and maintain monitoring tools for proactive analysis and alerting of overall network health and performance including trend analysis.
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues including working with various vendors, carriers and end users
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on the network infrastructure.
  • Review Quality of Service (QoS) configuration and perform network operability and performance testing to eliminate problems and optimize the network
  • Develop and maintain automation processes that support the network infrastructure using Python, Ansible or similar programming languages
  • Assist in creating and maintaining disaster recovery plans
  • Configure and maintain security related configuration such as firewall NATs, ACLs, and DACLs including DMVPN, IPSec VPN and remote access VPN
  • Review latest network hardware and software and provide recommendation for upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment
  • Provide technical support and training to other teams as needed
  • Communicate work related tasks verbally and in written communication
  • Think creatively and identify new ways to solve problems

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must demonstrate the qualifications listed below:
  • Two years of college or equivalent post-high school education or experience
  • Minimum 2 years network administration experience
  • Familiarity with the network administration principles, methods, and techniques including network hardware, software and other relevant equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics or Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years network administration experience
  • Wireless implementation and troubleshooting experience
  • DEVNET Associate certification
  • Previous experience in maintaining networking components in a data center and remote site environments
