Job Description:Essential Job Functions:
Participate in screening/assessment process under the supervision of licensed/qualified counselor or therapist within appropriate time frames as designated by State Regulatory/CARF/agency standards.
Develop treatment plans for clients in accordance with State Regulatory/CARF guidelines that demonstrate evolution and individualization based on information gathered from assessments under the supervision of licensed/qualified therapist.
Complete any and all correspondence in a timely fashion.
Participates in clinical staffing/team meetings, providing feedback on all pertinent cases.
Adhere to weekly direct service provision model.
Document all the services provided in accordance with State Regulatory/CARF/agency standards. Ensure services are entered within the appropriate time frame, designated format, notes refer to treatment plans, etc.
Ensure that documentation of treatment plans, plan updates and discharge summaries are reviewed and countersigned by a Qualified Addiction Professional.
Complete any file/charting deficiencies within appropriate time frame.
Assist clients through transition process and complete any final correspondence such as transition summary, plan, letter, etc.
Complete annual training identified through individualized training plan for a total of 36 hours every 2 years.
Maintain positive professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, adhering to Code of Ethics and agency policies.
Handle crisis situations as they occur, notifying supervisor when policies dictate.
Facilitate group counseling, group education, family conferences, and individual sessions with emphasis on examining attitudes, feelings, behaviors that promote recovery, healthy decision making, and improved problem solving skills.
Demonstrates interest in long term and short term goals and objectives of the company.
Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, Vice President or the Executive Team Member.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of case management and rehabilitation methods, principles, and techniques, as they relate to mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of the program to which the associate is assigned.
Basic knowledge of biological, cognitive-affective, and social bases of behavior.
Working knowledge of therapeutic theories and techniques, individual differences, and scientific methods or procedures of understanding and influencing human behavior.
Capable of employing methods and counseling techniques in an effective manner.
Ability to assist in conducting individual and group interventions.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Experience and Education Qualifications:A trainee that meets the requirements for registration, supervision, and professional development as set forth by either: The Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc.: ORThe appropriate board of professional registration with the Department of Economic Development for licensure as a psychologist, professional counselor, or social worker Illinois Requirements:
Obtain CADC according to IL admin rule part 2060 within 2 years and renew as required
A trainee that meets the requirements for registration, supervision, and professional development as set forth by the state's appropriate credentialing board
Applicant must be willing to become licensed in additional states, other than the state currently licensed in. Applicant must be willing and comfortable with providing telehealth services to the individuals we serve. Supervisory Requirements:None Employment Requirements:
Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record and abuse/neglect.
Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
All training requirements including Relias Learning at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
First Aid certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date.
CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date.
Behavioral Management training completed within thirty (30) days of employment or first available class after start date:
CPI for Residential programs
Crisis Management on Relias Learning or Verbal De-escalation for Outpatient programs
Achievement of thirty-six (36) hour training requirements within 2 year period in accordance with 9 CSR 10-7.110 E 1 (Missouri Only).
Obtain Driver’s license in state of Residency.
Physical Requirements:ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
