Tapestry Solutions supports 85 defense, commercial and government customers from over 50 US locations and nine countries.Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services, is seeking a Business Development Manager . We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Mission Products & Services (MPS) team. Our MPS business is focused on serving as a trusted partner to our warfighter customers, providing exceptional software products and services to U.S. and foreign military defense organizations. We support next generation mission planning across multiple platforms including the F-22, F-15, F-18, MQ-25, and Tomahawk Cruise Missile. We also have a long legacy advancing the DoD’s cornerstone logistics and command & control applications. This position is ideal for someone excited by the world of military aviation and logistics, and the challenge of helping the U.S. advance its mission planning and command & control capabilities. In this role you will be a key player in shaping the growth strategy of MPS and leading the efforts to realize the growth plans. We are located primarily in St Louis, Missouri and San Luis Obispo, California. This position is fully remote (virtual) with moderate travel to support capture and partnership activities.Position Responsibilities: (Bulleted)

Manage employees and first-level managers planning, developing and managing sales and marketing campaigns.

Lead the development of strategy and tactics using in-depth knowledge of customer needs, Tapestry products, services, processes, and operations to support customer commitments, competitive advantage to foster business growth and obtain commitments

Craft and execute all aspects of major sales campaigns

Develop capture plans which both advocate for customer requirements and sell the business case to management

Develop win strategies that align to the customer’s most important requirements, differentiates our offer in the market and drives Long Range Business Plans (LRBP)

Forge partnerships/alliances with other companies

Analyze competitive strengths and weaknesses

Effectively communicate within and outside the company at all levels

Develop operational / marketing plans, define and manage program funds and develop white papers / contact plans

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and will not require the selected candidate to relocate.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.We will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Minimum 3 years Business Development /Sales experience including work leading capture activities for US Government customers

Experience with the US Government’s FAR acquisition processes

Ability to communicate with US Government representatives at all levels, including General Officers and Senior Executive Service members

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

10 years working with the US Department of Defense customer

DAU certification in program management, logistics, or acquisitions

Experience with sales and marketing of commercial products and/or services

Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
