KIPP St. Louis Public Schools’ College and Career Readiness Teacher works as part of the KIPP St. Louis High School team in collaboration with the KIPP Forward team. The College and Career Readiness Teacher is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of curriculum for high school seniors that prepares students to identify, apply to, and successfully transition into best-fit post-secondary programs upon graduation.In addition to college and career readiness instruction, the College and Career Readiness Teacher will be responsible for teaching three ACT Prep sessions, providing students with targeted instruction, test-taking strategies, practice, and academic support to strengthen their readiness and performance on the ACT.The College and Career Readiness Teacher will work closely with academic teachers, KIPP Forward staff, families, students, and community partners throughout the greater St. Louis area to ensure students are equipped with the knowledge, skills, resources, and tools needed to successfully matriculate to and thrive in college, career, and beyond.Position Type: Full-time, Exempt, 10-monthReporting & Collaboration​Direct Manager: PrincipalDirect Reports: NoneKey Collaborators: Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach, Teachers, KIPP Forward, and Regional SupportInputs: What will I be doing in my day-to-day work?Grade-Level Rigor & AccessPlan and deliver instruction where all students engage in grade-level standards, texts, and rigorous tasks dailyInternalize curriculum to ensure alignment to standards, pacing, and high-quality outcomesDesign and execute tasks that require students to analyze, justify, and apply learningProvide scaffolds that increase access without lowering rigor, including modeling, guided practice, and strategic supportsAnticipate misconceptions and plan targeted supports to ensure all students can access grade-level contentWhat will I be evaluated on? 

Instruction consistently ensures that all students engage in grade-level standards, tasks, and content aligned to curriculum and pacing, with scaffolds that maintain rigor.
