The GBO team is responsible for the development and production support of our consumer websites and mobile applications for Enterprise, National, and Alamo. We work closely with our Business Stakeholders from around the globe, for all our brands, to make enhancements to our applications and to stay ahead in our ever-evolving global operations. As a Project Manager , you will have the opportunity to partner with product owners as new features are requested for the consumer booking channels. 6+ years of related Information Technology experience
2+ years of Project Management Experience
Takes ownership and accountability for driving team and tasks forward
Holds team members accountability for delivery of tasks
Escalates issues to product owners when necessary
Facilitates agile ceremony meetings
Effectively manages and maintains the Jira board
Effectively manages meetings and drives toward completion of meeting goals
Removes or escalates team members roadblocks to appropriate teams when necessary
Helps manage content for sprints and monthly releases
Makes sure stories are completed by the published code cutoff dates
Comfortable addressing small to medium issues with individual team members
Communicates feedback on individual team member’s progress to leaders
Comfortable approaching leaders to discuss issues with individual team members or the team as a whole
Plans and coordinates project deliverables and timelines
Creates and maintains project plans when necessary
Understands when project deliverables impact other teams and responds accordingly
Follows up on deliverables and outstanding items
Assesses overall status of the project to determine if dates are going to be met and make recommendations if dates are not going to be met
Raises recommendations up to leaders for final decision
Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment and have the ability to handle multiple tasks
Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum, JIRA, and Confluence
Must have experience in full lifecycle development cycle
Must have the ability to effectively collaborate and work with others in a remote work environment
Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible with changing priorities and requirements
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Preferred :
Scrum Master certification
Task management abilities: Able to identify necessary steps to a solution and move an initiative to the goals
Professional communication abilities: Able to formalize proposals, communicate the need and instruct others on the use of solutions
Experience with Microsoft Office desktop application (Word, Excel, etc.) and Visio
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field
