Description We are on the lookout for a meticulous Legal Secretary to be a part of our dynamic team. The candidate will be expected to handle customer applications, maintain precise customer records, and resolve customer inquiries in an efficient manner. This role is based in St Louis, Missouri, and offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurate and efficient processing of legal documents, including drafting, prooing, and finalizing contracts, pleadings, and correspondence. File legal documents with courts and ensure proper maintenance of filing systems for cases and records. Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions. Oversee attorney calendars, deadlines, and court dates. Act as a point of contact for clients and external parties by answering phone calls and responding to emails. Safeguard sensitive legal and client information. Track and process expenses, invoices, and billing for cases. Perform word processing tasks, including typing pleadings and dictation. Display proficiency in receiving and replying to dictation. Carry out light reception duties. Exhibit familiarity with legal pleading and the ability to format attorney updates. Requirements Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role. Proficiency in Aderant, a legal practice management software. Solid experience with Adobe Acrobat for document management and editing. Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) is desirable. Proficient with Case Management Software to effectively manage legal cases. Experience with CompuLaw or similar legal calendar and docketing system. Ability to handle billing functions accurately and efficiently. Experience in briefing and preparing legal teams for cases. Proven expertise in managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and meetings. Strong client relations skills and experience in handling client queries. Knowledge in Consumer Electronics is a plus.
