Together, we help execute a strategy that enables Ameren to deliver superior long-term value to customers, shareholders and the environment.Manager, Supplier Quality (ZA0728)About The PositionThe Manager of Supplier Quality oversees the Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Supplier Relationship Management functions. The Manager provides leadership support to ensure that the materials and services procured by Supply Chain (SC) meet Ameren standards and expectations, quality control process and procedures are maintained and updated, and that the supplier relationship process is implemented correctly. They also review documentation of supplier quality and quality control issues and share the information with Business Segments. Provide SLPOC and CPOC Ameren Project Quality Plan development review and oversight. The Manager ensures that QA/QC efforts support the translation of Ameren objectives into relevant metrics by fostering collaborative relationships within the SC network and across suppliers and the Business Segment.Key responsibilities include:General Responsibilities● Enable and foster professional development of resources● Manage the staffing, training, evaluation, and continuous improvement of COE professionals● Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with Ameren policies and procedures● Identify, develop, and implement supply chain initiatives and improvements for respective areas● Serve as Supplier Quality representative and liaison for Supply Chain and Business Unit stakeholders / groups● Serve as escalation point for day-to-day questions and issuesCOE Responsibilities● Define strategic direction of Supplier Quality group by designing QA/QC framework to ensure materials and services are being procured have appropriate quality requirements and standards● Develop and communicate standard QA/QC metrics, reports, and dashboards● Ensure application of quality standards to audit and QA/QC processes where required● Develop the strategic direction, goals, and focus areas of Supplier Performance / Relationship Management process● Coordinate with Category Managers to conduct supplier segmentation analysis to identify strategic suppliers● Oversee consistent application of SRM tools and techniques to drive improvements in supplier performance, including responses to supplier quality audit findings● Communicate quality assurance findings and supplier improvement plans to suppliers and Business Segments● Establish reporting formats and frequencies to keep SC and Business Segments informed of supplier performance status and risks and key performance metrics● Develop and lead the implementation of supplier continuous improvement plans with collaboration from SC management and Business Segments as appropriate● Review Ameren SLPOC and CPOC Project and critical supplier quality plans, participate in project gate reviews, and support project construction with supplier quality surveillances● Raise Ameren asset life cycle quality awareness through new initiatives and the sharing of best practices across the Ameren organization.QualificationsAccredited BS degree required in Engineering. MBA or other related graduate degree preferred. Seven or more years of directly relevant work experience (e.g., quality management systems, supplier relationship management (SRM), quality assurance/quality control, project management, supplier risk management, etc.), including three or more years of supervisory experience or team/high-level project leadership required. Supplier quality management experience required, preferably within the utility sector. Successful completion of ASQ Auditor certification and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Training preferred.In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Lean, Six Sigma, ASQ or similar process improvement certification preferred. Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred.
