Reporting to the Staff VP of Pharmacy Network Management and Strategy, this Program Director will spearhead the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of tailored pharmacy network solutions for unique hospital system clients, Indian tribal entities, and other clients with custom pharmacy network needs. Unlike standardized off-the-shelf pharmacy networks, these customized solutions address the nuanced needs of clients who manage their own pharmacies or have special relationships with pharmacies on-site or nearby or have pharmacy network customization needs. This role is critical to our business success, as these high-value, self-funded clients are key to our win-and-retain strategy. Their satisfaction directly impacts our ability to secure and maintain long-term partnerships with the employers/other clients we serve. (This position can work in a hybrid way from any eastern or central time zone Elevance Health US corporate location)How you will make an impact:

Directs the development, planning, prioritization, approval, implementation and compliance of on-going external client facing programs.

Establishes program governance when needed to assure response to issue escalation; develops program budget and ensures program meets its stated objectives.

Provides subject matter expertise in response to day to day business issues; researches applicable subject matter practices; and remains aware of industry trends.

Manages external client facing relationships and partners with corporate and regional business areas.

Develops communication documents and training criteria related to external client facing program success measures.

Develops documentation to support meeting presentations and the tracking and reporting of the program's success.

Provides leadership to program managers and project managers.

Program directors typically manage external client facing programs that require managing activities and resources of multiple departments or business areas of the organization.

Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 10 years experience in external client facing program management, project management; complex business processes, strategic and business planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.Highly preferred skills and experiences: Extensive Experience in Program Management and Client Engagement. Proven track record in leading and managing complex program initiatives, particularly in custom solutions for high-value clients. Experience in clear communication, accurate documentation, and proactive risk management to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned. Strong background in gathering business requirements, defining strategies, and leading implementations to enhance client satisfaction and retention. Proficiency in Cross-functional Leadership and Stakeholder Coordination. Demonstrated ability to act as a central coordinator, working across multiple departments (benefits, financial management, compliance, sales, account management) to ensure seamless execution of programs.
