Job Summary Under the direction of the Safety Program Manager, the Facilities Safety Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the fire safety activities of the department with specific attention to inspection, maintenance, and associated training of fire control systems, defibrillators, and equipment. Maintaining records, logs, files, etc. related and safety. Help to ensure compliance that all applicable ServiceSource and customer safety and risk management policies, guides and procedures are followed. Assist emergency preparedness officer andante-terrorism specialist. Primary Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

Complete and document recurring inspections of fire suppression systems, sprinkler systems and fire extinguishers and defibrillators including tracking maintenance actions that arise out of the inspection process.

Provide fire extinguisher and other safety training to NGA and Service Source staff, including documentation and recordkeeping of training activities.

Participate on Incident Management Team, attend meetings, records, and prepares meeting minutes. Responds to emergencies on short notice, nights, and weekends.

Attend project planning meetings to determine safety issues and associated required actions associated with on-site projects. Perform and documents construction site safety inspections.

Coordinate Red Cross First Aid and CPR training classes 2/year, including documentation and recordkeeping of training activities.

Additional Responsibilities

Supports emergency management programs, emergency drills such as fire, tornado, earthquake, active shooter, etc. Including documentation and recordkeeping of training activities.

May be asked to assist with safety incident reports, or inspect facilities for safety discrepancies, on both scheduled and unscheduled basis.

Assist Site Safety Manager with safety inspections as needed.

Assist Site Safety Manager with the safety training program as needed.

Assist Site Safety Manager to perform and document DoD pest management program; fuel inspection logs and record keeping; lock-out tag-out program; dig/burn/confined space entry permits; and other record keeping.

Attend all monthly and quarterly Safety Committee meetings. Prepares and delivers safety training presentations.

Perform other applicable safety and risk management duties as may be assigned by the Safety Manager.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

High school diploma or state certified equivalent required.

5 years administrative work experience required .

Demonstrated introduction to Safety, Environmental, Emergency Management, or Security related duties is preferred.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must be able to use efficiently computers and computer software that includes Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.).

Advanced training in computer skills.

Eligible for ServiceSource driver’s insurance.

First Aid and CPR Certifications.
