This is Butler’s Pantry.
And we are looking for someone who lives to serve and knows that
teamwork is the foundation of success to join our team as a Pastry Cook.
As Pastry Cook, you will assist in creating a lasting impression for our guests. We provide upscale desserts and pastries to a variety of events around the St. Louis Area. No two events are the same, so it is always an exciting place to learn and grow your pastry career!
Your COMMITMENT to us:
GET THE JOB DONE (The necessary stuff)
Arrive at your station ready to work at scheduled time and in proper uniform
Work at a brisk and steady pace
Recipe knowledge when prepping or assisting with any other production step
Use scales, measuring spoons, recipe cards and perform portion control tests
Maintain the kitchen and all of its equipment to a “like new” condition
Clean as you go
Practice the importance of producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceed the guests’ needs in a timely and efficient manner
Prepare a variety of baked goods and pastries including, but not limited to: Cookie Doughs, Cakes, Brownies, Muffins, Breakfast Breads, Custards, mousses, etc.
Decorate and Present Pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way
Knowledge of How baking ingredients work together and how they can be used in creative ways
Attention to Detail
Physical strength and Stamina to spend long hours standing and performing repetitive motions
Assist in the training of new pastry employees
Other job duties as assigned
Additional Qualifications and Requirements:
In process of or Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts, or 2 years Production Pastry experience with a Bakery, Caterer, or Restaurant
Safe food handling and safety is a top priority
Professional appearance and conduct
