EXPERIENCED, RELIABLE AND TRUSTWORTHY HOME HEALTH AIDE NEEDED FOR LONG TERM IN-HOME PRIVATE DUTY FEMALE PATIENT WITH TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY, COMPLEX PTSD, DIABETES AND PARAPLEGIA. This lady is neither bed-bound nor is she house-bound. She lives with her husband and two small 6 months old King Charles Cavilier Spaniels. She and her husband are happily married, active, attend church regularly, and mobile. They do, however, need on-going assistance with maintaining the home with various tasks such as shopping, cleaning the home, assistance getting the dry cleaning to to the dry cleaners, keeping up with the laundry, medication monitoring, miscellaneous errands such as getting the dogs to the vets and groomers and other similar types of errands, etc. keeping their home, vehicle, and pets clean and healthy is important to them and are at the core of the reasons for ensuring they maintain a responsible and reliable team of helpers to help. We are seeking to bring on a House Manager who will be the lead position who will be paid a starting wage of $30/hour at 40 hours a week and a support person at $25/hour at 40 hours each week. In addition we will need one additional person at $25/per hour for 1pm -9pm for Saturday coverage. The primary tasks for the House Manager will include overseeing the other staff responsibilities and care and cleaning of the home, errands and associated duties and associated with keeping the property upkeep in good order. My wife will allow assistance with personal care based on her ability to tolerate any help from the staff. Personal care may include my wife’s ability to tolerate closeness from others and will change based on how her TBI and PTSD are doing. Other duties include on-going and daily housekeeping, assistance with dressing, assistance with ADLs, as well as shopping and errands. We’re faith based and respectful of others.
We live in our neighborhood in St. Charles Missouri. It is myself my wife and our two puppies.
My wife has another lady who comes in twice a week to help her with her ADLs such as reading and feeding herself. So far, she is unable to eat by herself and her fine motor skills are very poor but having improved she also has severe PTSD so there may be some days that she may not let you help her with her eating, but the rest of the things she pretty much does OK at unless she asks you to either do it later or just know that means her PTSD is acting up and she doesn’t really want to be bothered so she can manage it in her head. Good job well intail
All that is mentioned above and also includes complete housekeeping also errands you may have to take the puppies to the vet or to the groomers also shopping and pharmacy pick ups.
Also, there will be medications that need to be given and kept organized and also when the medication is getting low, it must be ordered.
You may have to drive her just for a little drive to get her out once she gets to know you. There is a small porch out in the back that may also need to be swept and a grill that may need to be cleaned once in a while. We like the house to be kept in order and clean. My wife also suffers from a traumatic brain injury, which sometimes complicates schedules, etc., during the day example as she might want to have her hair washed in the evening instead of in the morning, simple things like that.
Also another very important detail is my wife is a woman of size but that is strictly a medical condition caused by the TBI and she actually does not eat much at all and has to be reminded and drinks protein shakes smoothies, etc. has to be kept out at all times and at least two or threekept in refrigerator. The reason that I mentioned this is sometimes people get wrong impressions and this particular situation is very important to her health as she probably eat less than three or 400 cal a day
Another important thing in this position is cooking she loves to have things homemade she does not like preservatives. She is also diabetic so we have to be created at times. She also does not like meat. So there will be some days she will be making sugar-free blueberry muffins for her to have for maybe a bedtime snack or morning with a cup of coffee that’s just an example. Most of the liquids, soups, etc. again all homemade unless there is family members or church parties which happens several times and then they will be full meals and clean up. I know this is quite detailed, the two shifts will be
8 am-4pm any other shift will be from 2PM to 10 PM. The big difference is is the first shift takes care of medication’s as far as ordering them and putting them in their cups and keeping track of them which is a very important job, if you seem interested in this, it is exactly as it’s laid out in this advertisement. Please get in touch with me as soon as possible.
A little bit of an add-on we have just moved from California so we still have some things that need unpacking not heavy things but like putting precious moments on shelves so etc. have a very blessed day thank you for your time.
