We are seeking a customer-focused Retail Optician to join our team. In this role, you will assist customers with selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on prescriptions from eye care professionals. You’ll provide expert guidance on frame styles, lens options, and vision solutions while delivering an exceptional retail experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
Interpret prescriptions from optometrists and recommend appropriate lens types and frame styles.
Take accurate measurements for eyeglasses, including pupillary distance and segment height.
Advise customers on lens treatments such as anti-reflective coatings, blue light filters, and photochromic lenses.
Fit and adjust glasses for proper fit and visual performance.
Handle product ordering, inventory tracking, and merchandising displays.
Process sales transactions, insurance claims, and customer records.
Perform basic eyeglass repairs and maintenance.
Ensure the retail space is clean, organized, and compliant with visual merchandising standards.
Stay updated on the latest eyewear trends and products.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in opticianry a plus.
Previous retail or optical sales experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Customer service-oriented with a professional appearance and attitude.
Ability to multitask.
