We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Fish Tank Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for aquatic life, strong technical skills, and a commitment to maintaining optimal water quality and aquarium health. This role involves servicing, cleaning, and maintaining aquariums for both commercial and residential clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and water quality testing for aquariums.
Inspect and maintain water filtration systems, lighting, pumps, heaters, and other aquarium equipment.
Monitor water quality parameters (pH, salinity, temperature, ammonia levels, etc.) and make adjustments as needed.
Replace or clean aquarium filters, remove algae, and perform substrate cleaning.
Troubleshoot and repair aquarium equipment and systems as necessary.
Install new aquarium setups, including freshwater, saltwater, or reef tanks, as per client specifications.
Ensure aquariums are stocked with healthy fish, plants, and other aquatic life, and provide recommendations for stocking and care.
Educate clients on proper fish tank maintenance, feeding schedules, and general aquarium care.
Qualifications:
Experience in aquarium maintenance or a related field preferred, but not required.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic aquarium systems.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, perform cleaning tasks, and work with water-based systems.
Valid driver’s license (if travel between locations is required).
