Job Title: General Maintenance Technician
Location: Vandalia Bus Lines
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hourly Rate: $15.00+ per hour
Job Summary:
Vandalia Bus Lines is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring our facilities, grounds, and equipment remain in safe and working condition. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of performing a variety of routine maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general building maintenance, including minor repairs to doors, walls, windows, and fixtures
Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment
Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance under supervision
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools
Perform exterior maintenance tasks such as snow removal, lawn care, and debris cleanup
Support other departments with special projects or setup/teardown tasks as needed
Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Prior maintenance experience is a plus but not required
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
