Hours: Monday – Friday , 8:00am – 4:30pm
We are flexible on the start times, would like to have 20-25 hours per week. If you want full time you would have to be willing to work on some fabrication projects to update machines in the shop. Such as some hydraulic work, welding and fabrication to set up workstations. Reorganizing work spaces. We will keep you busy but you will not always be at a mill or lathe. Our last Tool and Die maker is working for us on a part time basis and he will be helping to train you on various machines in the machine shop.
Primary Responsibilities:
Set up /Operate manual lathe and milling machines. We provide tooling , measurement instruments.
Hurco milling machine with Mach Motion controls, picture of monitor attached.
Your main responsibilities will be to support any tooling needs in the shop. Repair of dies, producing new tooling that is either worn or broken. We do some punch press work but mostly forming dies for our machines.
Experience with heat treating O1 and A2 tool steels. We have a furnace for small parts and larger parts are sent out for heat treating.
You will be required to do some short run production parts , usually less than 100 parts , this is usually a radius operation for a part we are forming.
Air-conditioned/Heated working environment.
